It’s currently hotter than Hades in Richmond, as per the usual in the summer months, but that does not stop me from looking forward to fall. Granted, fall means no more summer fun and back to school, but it also means sweaters, gorgeous colors, boots, and my birthday :)

This flannel button up is perfect for fall. And thanks to FabSugar, I can save some serious money and maybe even snatch this up before it’s gone.

I think that I’ve mentioned once or fifty times how clumsy I am, and my clumsiness is especially apparent in the kitchen. It’s a miracle my iPhone is still alive and the fact that I haven’t gotten stitches yet might just be due to my fear of needles and going to the doctor….

I think it’s time that I invest in an apron to keep, at the very least, my clothes from getting dirty as they always do while I’m cooking. I just wish this apron were actually a dress so I could wear it outside!

Let me first say that I love owls, despite my crushing fear of all things bird and bird-related (especially geese, oh man). So naturally I love this table lamp.

My roommate is moving out the first week of August and is taking all of his lamps with him… leaving me with the kitchen light as my only source of illumination. So I’ve been on the hunt for cute table lamps and while this, at $125, is slightly out of my price-range, Etsy seems as though it’s going to be the place for all of my electricity needs!

But I do adore this little guy.

I saw this advertisement in the June issue of Vogue and completely fell in love with this Marc by Marc Jacobs dress. It’s beautiful. (I didn’t have access to a scanner, so I was forced to take a picture of the advert with my phone. It totally doesn’t do the dress, or the photograph for that matter, justice).

Whew! I’m finally done with my first year of grad school… and it feels pretty damn good. My goal is to get Shopperist up and interesting/ functional/ not dead again.

I wasn’t really all that interested in the royal wedding etc. but Kate’s (excuse me, Princess Catherine… did you know she can’t go by Kate now that she’s a royal? WHAAA?) dress has sparked my dormant, but ever existent, interest in Alexander McQueen fashions. All of the pre-nuptial speculation showcased a lot of the Fall/Winter 2011 wedding designs and I’ve fallen in love.

Gorgeous. Impractical, but gorgeous. Now, I just have to find a dude, date him, make him fall in love with my wit and charm (read: sarcasm and emotionality), wait for him to propose to me, and then somehow manage to raise the money to buy this dress. Oh, and plan a destination wedding in Greece because that’s all I can think of when I look at this gorgeous work of art.

Sounds do-able. I’m gonna get on that now!

I’d definitely describe myself as a survivalist when it comes to bath products: I love looking at ones that are supposed to invigorate your skin, calm your nerves, wake you up, and magically repair all of your split ends… but I can’t ever bring myself to purchase them.

I’m familiar with LUSH products, visiting a location in Georgetown and I remember how amazing it was in there, but also how my three pack of soap from the grocery store cost the same as a 3oz block. I’ve had a renewed interest in their products as of late and am considering purchasing this Godiva solid shampoo as an anti-Valentine’s day gift to myself. It’s the perfect vegan friendly product to take care of this Rapunzel length hair I’ve seem to have grown.

Plus, if it smells as good as the reviews say it does, it’ll totally be worth it.
